Sasza Blonder-André Blondel produced more than 700 paintings and drawings in about twenty years. His main works are of the expressionist and fauvist styles, with a few abtracts. His palette lightened up as he discovered the sunny South of France.
He dealt with a variety of subjects inspired by his travels and encounters: from Polish landscapes and portraits of friends to his life in Paris, his workshop, the Seine river. After the war, he painted seascapes from Sete and Collioure, the Languedoc landscape, portraits of his wife and children. He also painted self-portraits regularly throughout his brief life.
Various techniques were used including egg painting, oil painting, monotype, black lead or charcoal drawings. He also used several supports such as cardboard, plywood or canvas.
